114-115 : The Plague Of Hail And Fire

114-115 : The Plague Of Hail And Fire

And God said to Moses: "Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say to him,
'These are the words of the Lord God of the Hebrews: "I will send all my plagues on you, your servants and your people. You will know that there is none like me in all the earth. You still will not let my people go, so tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a terrible hail as has not been
seen in Egypt since its foundation. Therefore gather your cattle now, and all that you have in your fields, for the hail shall come down upon every man and beast found in the fields and not brought home, and they shall die." "'

Those of Pharaoh's people who feared the word of the Lord brought their servants and cattle to the houses,
but those who did not believe the word of the Lord left their servants and their cattle in the field.
And in accordance with the Lord's command, Moses stretched out his rod towards the heavens,
and the Lord sent thunder and hail.
And fire ran upon the ground.
Fire mixed with hail and nothing like it had been seen in the land since Egypt became a nation.

The hail struck everything in the fields, man, beast and plant,
and broke down every tree in the fields.
Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron, and said to them: "I have sinned this time.
The Lord is just and I and my people are wicked.
Pray to the Lord that there may be no more thunder and hail, and I will let you go.
 You shall stay no longer."

Moses went from Pharaoh, out of the city, and spread his hands to the Lord and the thunder and hail were stopped.
But when Pharaoh saw this,he sinned even more and hardened his heart,
and he would not let the children of Israel go.
